Kandy

Kandy is the gateway to the central highlands and the capital of the central province. It is both an administrative and a religious city and was the last capital of the ancient kings era in Sri Lanka. 

Kandy is home to some of the island’s most significant monuments including the Palace of the Tooth relic, the Royal Palace and the Gadaladeniya Temple.

Temple of the Tooth, Kandy, Sri Lanka - July 11, 2021:  The temple which is venerated by thousands of local & foreign devotees and tourists daily was named as a world heritage by  UNESCO  in 1988. The temple carries a lot of value to Buddhists all over the world.
